Hi I'm Nikala and welcome to my Toffee Photography and scrapbooking blog.

I live in Brisbane's western suburbs with my husband Jason and two children Harrison 8 and miss Charlotte 5 1/2.

My love of photography and scrapbooking began with the birth of Harrison and quickly became my passion.

I love to update my blog regularly with clients sneak peek photos, personal images of my family, my scrapbooking layouts and news and anything and everything that inspires me to create.

Thanks for stopping by.

Nikala xx

Oldies

Was just going through some old photos of the kids that my mum took and wanted to re-edit them using my new Imac and Photoshop CS4. Editing images on the 24 inch monitor is fantastic. I haven't been able to wipe the smile from my face for the past 2 weeks. I'm learning to use "Aperture" and have put together a slide show of Lucia and James's wedding images using iDVD.

Here's a few of Olivia and Charlotte cooking cupcakes.

Charlotte and Olivia down on the farm.

Looking forward to drooling over the jewellery and handbags on Saturday night. Photos to come.

Bye Bye

We moved again last month. We sold our house and after weeks of searching for a half decent, clean rental  that could accommodate nine lounge suites...we found one. We were getting a little concerned that we had no place to go, but Bette convinced the owners of a display house not far from where we live to rent it out to us while we build again. This move was no where near as bad as I last remembered. The kids are older and helped out too, so that made it easier. We still haven't bought any land but are always looking. I'm really looking forward to doing it all over again...time for a new challenge and change of scenery. I thought I'd feel a little sad leaving the house but I don't.

We've moved into a street that friends also live in and life's been very social...lots of BBQ's and drinkies. The kids can visit one another and the car pooling has been convenient. So there you go, that's what we've been up to.

I attended a jewelry and hand bag party at Bette's place and I'm having one next Saturday night...can't wait the stuff is fantastic and very affordable. It's all imported from France, Germany and Italy....lots of "Chanel".

I've been slack with making the invites. I'd better get them out this week.

Thanks for stopping by,

Photos

Charlotte looking pretty in pink. I'm  really looking forward to spring. I bought this dress last week...I love dresses and luckily so does Charlotte. I made her headband quite a while ago and haven't gotten around to making more in other fabrics. There's just not enough time in my days lately.

Here's some other favourites:

Last weekend we got out the door early, grabbed some breakfast and headed to the park. It was lovely....hardly anyone was there and the weather was beautiful.

So there you go. I've been scrapping a little in between packing boxes...but nothing that I can share just yet. I found a great rental house last week, finally!!!!! We'll have loads of space and plenty of storage. Our friend and realestate agent came to the rescue....we're so lucky to have met her, she's a gem and a wonderful friend. The house is a display home that was on the market to sell, but Bette has convinced the owners to rent it out to us for the next 6 months or so.

That's it for me....my packing is calling!

Bye xxx.

The big 10

It's been 10 years today since we said "I do" and even though it's hard to remember my life before Jason, the past 10 years have gone by so fast. So much has happened it that time...3 homes, 2 children and loads of wonderful memories, some not so wonderful (like any marriage), but one thing that's true and has always remained, is our love for one another. We have so much in common and have so many common goals together.

Happy anniversary, love you long time.

Scrapboxx Newsletter layouts

This lo was using the "Box of Scraps" kit for June. It's a photo of Maria's eldest daughter - Ashleigh,

that I took while teaching in Perth. What a beautiful girl she is....inside and out.

The above and below layouts are using the "Box of Scarps" kit for July. Photos are from our play date with Oscar.
